Buteo Band - Came Down Shining

Fakta Buteo Band is a four piece band from Gothenburg making new tunes sprung out of 60s pop and 90s indie, with influences of more contemporary artists such as Angel Olsen and Kurt Vile.

Came Down Shining contains 8 tracks which make up a dramatic landscape stretching from peaceful havens, to barren fields exposed with typical Swedish melancholy, forever on the brink of darkness. Like a new born relative to the glorious generation of 60s California, the lyrics just as the music, are filled with a hunger that's been dragged through the absence of the past and the eternal shimmer of naive romanticizing. The songs are small tales stitched together into a symbolic theme, a theme that constantly follows you with the delicate line between now and then, yet making the chain of events appear as seamless. Came Down Shining is a solid piece of Swedish indie heritage, delivered just as crisp as a fresh corn nacho starring in a Spaghetti-western and getting shot into pieces, all of which fall carefully into place and end up exactly where they're supposed to.
